 DUSTY LAKE - UPDATES

Ulkatcho First Nation Re-Entry Notice – September 16, 2025

Dahooja Ulkatcho members,

We encourage everyone to remain calm, be kind, and support one another.

We are pleased to announce that the Evacuation Orders for the following areas have now been rescinded:

  • Beef Trail Creek Fire Area (map below) ~ Abuntlet Lake IR lands etc.
  • Beef Trail Creek Fire Area 2 (map below) ~ includes Squinas 2 & 14A IR lands
  • Dusty Lake Fire Area (map below)

Please note the Dusty Lake Fire Area has been rescinded, but a portion of this area has now been replaced by Holtry Creek Area (map below) evacuation alert that includes Ulkatcho 13 IR and Towdystan Lake 3 IR. If you live in this area, please remain prepared to leave again on short notice if condition change and keep posted on the alert status.

As you prepare to return home, please connect with you ESS leads at the hotels and centers to support you. Bus schedules will be made available shortly.

We ask that you review the Re-entry notice and obtain a copy of the Re-Entry Guide at the Williams Lake ESS Centre before returning home. A digital copy can be found here: Re-Entry Guide.pdf

We encourage members to remain calm, be kind and support one another through this process of healing and rebuilding together. If you need help or support during your return, please connect with your ESS leads.

Chief Charlie Williams
