Your Opportunity

As part of our Chunta Resource team, there is an opportunity for seasonal Field Laborer /Technician Supervisors in the beautiful Ulkatcho First Nations traditional territory.

You will be a part of our Cull Pile Burning field team that will complete field work starting in November 2023, depending on the weather.

As a seasonal/ casual employee your start date and end dates will vary by season and work needing to be completed.

Your Key Responsibilities

Schedule work crews, equipment and transportation for several work locations. Solve work problems and recommend measures to improve work methods. Train workers in safety, recognize unsafe work conditions and modify work procedures. Report to Chunta Manager and work to establish emergency safety plans and complete daily crew safety talks. Complete reports as necessary and assist workers with submission of timesheets.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 5 years past work experience with physically demanding outdoor labor and supervising workers
  • Must be able to follow directions of the manager and follow safety protocols and plans
  • Must be able to read maps and understand block boundaries
  • Applicants must be able to travel within the UFN Traditional Territory and able to work out-of-town and overnight for short and long durations.
  • The ability to carry out strenuous field work is essential.
  • A full driver’s license in good standing is preferred, and licensed drivers may be required to drive vehicles as part of their work.

Education and Experience

Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
